Seems to me you would want another 10 - 15 feet. Is the bucket really a good ground plane?
Fortunately, our city allows antenna's for things like that. We live in an area shaded from the downtown repeaters, we lose about half the signal due to Fresnel interference from another skyscraper. About two blocks north is perfect reception.
On the plus side, I got to help lots of neighbours with their digital TV conversions. (Because my antenna was interfering with their reception. The one with no transmitter attached. Right.)
