I like Charity Navigator for evaluating charitable non-profits. They have a guide to orgs providing relief: Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. From that list, I really like Direct Relief International. Thomas Tighe, DRI's CEO, consistently impresses me (they are based here in Santa Barbara) and I just noticed that they've partnered with the Japanese American Citizens League for providing relief. My $.02 ¥2.
