Happy Chinese New Year! Arf!
Jan. 29th, 2006 03:28 amToday is the Chinese New Year's Day. I had no idea--I thought it would be sometime in February. Must be sure everything is auspicious!
We didn't go visit family this weekend because of the other various and sundry crises, but will go next weekend instead. Maybe if we went to Little China over on the east side of US75, we could get moon cakes. Mmmmoon cakes.

Date: 2006-01-29 07:49 am (UTC)Unofficial, of course, but I surmise
Date: 2006-01-29 11:53 pm (UTC)If you turn the other way on Belt Line and proceed to the intersection with Lockwood, you'll see a lot of Indian-from-India influence--an Asia Grocery and sari shops and appliances that work on the "other" kind of current and Bollywood video.
I'd expect that if we have a Chinese New Year celebration in Richardson, it would be over there at that shopping center on Greenville. . . .
