Only 13 days until All Hallows Eve!! I'm going to be a crazy, wandering, lost soul--I already have the costume and the general "look" anyway.

Again the phone rings . . . New York exchange . . . snatch up the receiver . . . it's a collection agency looking for Herb Planter. Wrong number. Or a really wacked-out kind of prank phone call? Anyway. Everything feeds the insanity. I really must accept the destiny that is coming my way, and if it's not to win the you-know, then I just have to accept that *sigh*. I really iz trying. I can has sykotik brake? Rilly? Wif butter and pumpkin chips?

Shanna Swendson has done a great post about why we shouldn't think contests are the be-all and end-all, but despite her heroic effort, my brain is still secretly plotting ways to get to Albuquerque, mapping out car routes and choosing B&Bs to stay in on the way, and picking out outfits that hide the problem areas (such as my body). But the rest of you are not yet hopelessly ruined--go read, go read.
