Where was I the last couple of days? Reading "Mimi's Doughnuts." A great local comic strip/cartoon that started (apparently) as a zine and is now in a few New England newspapers! Written and drawn and colored by Marek Bennett. Based on his wife's childhood, very loosely, says their website.

THE TRUTH ABOUT BIRTHDAYS!!

Wow. I've really enjoyed reading these pages. First new thing I've seen that I like since "FoxTrot" went Sundays-only.
I can't draw and can only cartoon to a certain extent, and that's the appeal of art rubber stamps for me. I'll bet somebody could make art parts and do a COMIC STRIP FACTORY for the PC that would really be kickin' (the old one for the Mac in the 80s was pretty great, but now it could be GREAT.)
Alas, that would be another timesink.
IN other news: My mother has walking pneumonia and bronchitis (dangerous when you have COPD and asthma) and asks for your prayers . . . (again) . . . thanks in advance for any positive thoughts you send. She appreciates it!
