As the song says, "Life is unfair!"

It is SO unfair that I saw this eBay listing too late to bid on the SNAKE BROOCH.

But I *did* get a Cthulu octopus necklace. Sterling silver, it claims to be.

RESOLVED: I must not handle stress by surfing eBay. This has replaced handling stress by eating peanut butter crackers and/or "dietetic" snacks that weren't helping me lose weight. But still, it isn't gonna work long-term.

Short-term, it's a blast.

Look at THIS.

Brings back memories of the old Sun Rexall Drugs and the five-and-ten (that was what we had before Dollar stores.)

Who wouldn't want THESE?

Must . . . not . . . update . . . search . . . page

omg LOVE LOVE the yellow shoes. I even wear most of my boots tied the way they are in the photo! lol

Looking at Ctulu...I'm thinking it DOES look like silver, but why nobody would have polished it before trying to sell it is a bit vexing.

Stay out of trouble! ;o) My low-carb fallback is Big Lots. Or the Dollar Tree. Lots of worthless junk, but it doesn't hurt the pocket book quite as much. ;o)

Holy crap, I remember seeing that little statue guy in stores. I think he was from a big series that was popular in the 1970's...the cartoon character Ziggy was in some of them as I recall, but mostly it was cartoonish figures like the one above.

Wasn't that gold(esque) item a relic from the eruption of Vesuvius?

The shoes, though! Just what a diabetic needs -- not. Wouldn't that acute an angle and the concomitant application of gravity play havoc with your heels by depriving them of a regular blood supply? (Your own personal built-in heels, not the tallish ones on the shoes themselves.)

The yellow shoes with purple socks -- holy cow! Talk about representing an anti-subtlety approach to fashion.

Wow! I go out on ONE DATE and look at all I missed.

I like that snake brooch but I am partial to dragons and gargoyles myself. Hargo Jewlry made some awesome snake/serpent pieces as well as other exotic pieces. But yes, ebay is the place to look for groovy collectibles.
