I forgot to mention (in light of the mindblowing possibilities that my mind always fills with when an agent does anything but kick me to the curb with a steel-toed boot) that hubby has an interview today with a manager in a different group (same company) who has a contract that'll keep them going for a couple of years. Thursday is Layoff Day at his company, and his boss is feeling very insecure; he's looking around himself, because HIS boss has the list and since he got it, he hasn't looked Doug quite in the eye. *eep*

So that's also something we should keep in mind as we make the agent offer me representation. *GRIN* A trivial detail like keeping the household in bread and greenbacks, yes. . . .

Just remember that things in publishing are SLOWWWWW and advances are usually really low, and split up over time.
